As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Why This Role Matters
As a Student Specialist, you will be a key part of our industry-leading Beauty Operations team at Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix. This role provides hands-on experience in supporting various aspects of our Beauty Programs, including:
- Drafting job aids and communications
- Conducting research and providing technical support
- Preparing presentations and supporting project implementations
- Performing administrative tasks and coordinating stakeholder communications
This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual eager to learn about beauty retail, merchandising, marketing, technology, and category management in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
You will work within a Beauty dedicated team, collaborating across departments and gaining exposure to multiple aspects of Beauty at Shoppers Drug Mart.
What You’ll Learn & Contribute To:
  • End-to-End Beauty Operations: Gain insight into planning, execution, reporting, and follow-ups. 
  • Research & Strategy: Assist in researching, strategizing, testing, and implementing initiatives. 
  • Data Analytics: Learn how to analyze data to improve system efficiency and reporting. 
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure alignment with departmental and enterprise policies and procedures. 
  • Beauty Launches & Communications: Provide input and recommendations on product launches and internal/external communications. 
  • Store & Vendor Support: Assist in store-related support, vendor communication, and overall operations. 
  • Event & Conference Preparation: Support the planning and logistics of in-store events and conferences. 
  • Awareness & Engagement: Follow up with stores and field teams to drive awareness of beauty programs and initiatives. 
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Learn the importance of internal collaboration and effective communication. 
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Organize files, documents, and internal correspondence
- Schedule meetings, take minutes, and track action items
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications
- Update spreadsheets, process invoices, and support office management
- Assist with research, event planning, and logistics
Project & Process Management
- Manage and implement various processes and technologies
- Coordinate between departments and stakeholders to drive initiatives
- Assist in resolving store and vendor inquiries professionally and efficiently
Communication & Analysis
- Support internal and external communications for beauty programs
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights
- Provide feedback and recommendations based on research and operational results
