About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic data professional to lead a team focused on developing data products and delivering impactful analytics and insights that drive organizational success, with a particular focus on SHN's digital products and capabilities. You will oversee complex analytical initiatives where collaboration with cross-functional partners will be critical to translate business needs into data-driven strategies that support our patients, our partners, and our internal stakeholders across the SHN/SDM/LCL ecosystem. The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring expertise in analytics, strong leadership skills, and a passion for data-driven innovation that can lead to optimization of program and specialty pharmacy performance, improvement of patient outcomes, and demonstratable value to our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals focused on developing data products and delivering actionable analytics/insights for digital tools and products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (eg. Product, Technology, Business, UX) to define data-driven strategies that support business objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data product development: from ideation, scoping, and requirements gathering through design, delivery, and ongoing optimization.
- Champion the use of advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract insights that drive customer engagement and product performance.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of data initiatives on digital product outcomes.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Stay current with industry trends in data science, analytics platforms/technologies, and digital product measurement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6-7 years of data and analytics experience, preferably within the healthcare industry, and with 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in a numerate or analytical discipline such as Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong proficiency with modern analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R), BI platforms (e.g., Tableau/Power BI), and cloud-based data ecosystems (e.g., GCP/AWS/Azure).
- Proven track record of leading large-scale analytics initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities combined with a hands-on approach when needed to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success of presenting technical solutions and findings to senior leadership and business partners.
