A new chapter in student wellness

When allergies hit and sneezes start to fill up lecture halls, students at the University of Ottawa can now Think Pharmacist when looking for relief. The University of Ottawa campus was buzzing with excitement last week as Shoppers Drug Mart officially opened the doors to its latest Pharmacy Care Clinic. This new clinic – the first on a university campus in Canada – marks a significant step forward in enhancing access to healthcare services for the university's vibrant student community.

Empowering patient care: Wendy Siu’s journey in pharmacy

March is Pharmacy Appreciation Month; a time to celebrate pharmacy teams across the country and across our network. In honour of this month, we are spotlighting one of the many pharmacists who are making a difference to the health of Canadians. Meet Wendy Siu, from the Patient Contact Centre, whose keen interest in learning the mechanism of drugs led her to a career as a pharmacist.

Shoppers Foundation donates $10M to MMIWG2S+ Healing and Empowerment fund

On February 14, Shoppers Foundation for Women’s HealthTM (the “Foundation”) announced a $10M donation agreement with the Government of Manitoba to fund critical programs that will directly benefit children and families of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit Peoples (MMIWG2S+). The donation will go to the Government of Manitoba’s MMIWG2S+ Healing and Empowerment Fund, an endowment held by The Winnipeg Foundation, which will provide continual and accessible healing programs and support to affected families.
